My kids are fussy eaters. It’s difficult to find recipes everyone loves. I get really excited when I find a keeper. I hate it when they ask me to make something I made before, and I don’t remember where the recipe was from or how I made it. Since I have started keeping track of recipes I love I find cooking so much easier. I now have a collection of a few recipes that they love and I just keep making them over and over. I have stopped making things they don’t like. Sometimes I try a new recipe and if they like it, I add it to my recipe book. If not, I don’t. I hate cooking so I would rather make things they like than waste time on recipes that they don’t like.

There are three different formats that are all useful. If you want to edit the template then the Word version will probably work best for you. If you want to add a photo then the online recipe maker might be more useful. If you want to double or triple a recipe, then the recipe template Excel might be most suitable. The Excel version is also a recipe cost calculator. You can enter the cost of each ingredient and the food cost spreadsheet will work out the price per unit or portion. This is helpful if you are selling the food and need to price each portion.
